Support Yorktown Black Owned Businesses

Spicy Food Truck at JV Mall

“Hello all! Recently, I started a social philanthropy enterprise to support local restaurant workers by collecting donations from the town and giving an “over-tip” when i pick up food. For the month of February, I’m focusing my efforts on two black-owned establishments in town to celebrate Black History Month.

The first of these will be the great Spicy Restaurants!! Help give back to this great food truck at the JV Mall by donating to the GoFundMe set up below. For those who don’t know about Spicy, chef/owner Lawrence Ofori was a contestant and finalist on Chopped!
Please consider supporting this over-tip, we will be collecting from February 1 until Friday, February 12th.”

For the second half of the month, we will be collecting tips for Shimmy’s Acai: Bowls, Smoothies and More. Donate to the GoFundMe from February 12- February 27th! Help us support Shimmy’s, another great establishment providing us with healthy meals.
